Originally from Knoxville, Rebecca Jack grew up in an artistic household and received a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from the University of Tennessee. A self-taught, intuitive painter, Jack creates vibrant, figurative works that highlight the beauty of imperfection through visible layering, expressive brush work and mark-making. Her figures are boldly unapologetic, exuding a quiet confidence and self-reflective quality. Drawing from her love of design, she is inspired by color, pattern, shape and contrast. Blending the lines of abstraction with the figure, Jack often references images from Classical Roman, Greek and Egyptian art history for inspiration. She explores themes of feminine, human nature, the sub-conscious and emotions. Jack continues to reside in Atlanta.
